Our unique approach blends anthropological techniques with philanthropy, positive psychology and culture into 3 areas of focus:
- Self-Discovery: Our training programs and work is centered on the world, but also your soul. This provides the opportunity to think deeply and go under the surface of your existance and role here on earth.
- Transformative Travel: Our organized experiences go beyond the resort and off the beaten path. We include time for introspection and connecting with the peoples of the land. The result is that travel becomes an inspiration for taking powerful and purposeful action in the world.
- Service: When we travel we receive so much from those we meet. Our goal is to also be of service to them. A major focus is that each client has the ability to contribute to programs and projects that make real change in the world.

Each year, Zarinah runs a powerful 3-day program teaching her anthropological philosophies for global citizenry, development and personal enhancement. Unlike a business conference that focuses on making money, this is soul work focuses on enhancing our ability to move both ourselves and society in new ways.

We use our annual signature event, The Headwrap Expo, to not only fulfill our ultimate goal of building a global culture of love, but as a wonderful teaching tool for those who want to learn how to pull a community together in their own area.

Why headwraps? We use the colorful, multi-cultural art of headwrapping – think turbans, scarves and more – to serve as a unifier and a way to enlighten and brighten the moods of our guests. Founded by anthropologist Zarinah El-Amin Naeem in 2013, The Headwrap Expo has grown into an eclectic space where people feel free to be themselves, while learning about others.
Building Community
THE ENLIVEN YOUR SOUL FOUNDATION FOR GLOBAL ADVANCEMENT, a 501c3 organization and sister of Enliven Your Soul has as it’s mission to use art, culture and education to help women across the globe. Our current project is the Girls African Scholarship Fund in Sierra Leone. Since 2003, we’ve given over $15,000 to young girls. Our next goal is to build a school for entrepreneurship. Each entrepreneur who births a business through our trainings pledges to give back in some way.
